ENVIRONMENT FELLOWSHIP OF ROTARIANS

INTRODUCTION and Constitution of the Environment Fellowship of Rotarians

The Environment Fellowship of Rotarians (EFR) unites all Rotarians, their spouses, and Rotaractors who are very interested and/or have a vocation in our Environment. Their interest can be general or specialized. They all are proactively contributing towards building a better Environment of Peace and Sustainable Development. In true rotarian fellowship, they meet locally, regionally, as well as every year at our Rotary International Conferences and Conventions.
They are also all united through this website, they still have the opportunity to use our discussion list rotary-environment@yahoogroups.com, and, to allow them to easiest express each-other and contribute their input, they are about to be able to use blogs that might soon be also available in each of the official languages of Rotary. United with universal participation and using the best that communication technology offers, this facilitates the optimal fellowship among all.
Each, united in the Environment Fellowship of Rotarians, are always ready to contribute their environmental expertise and rotarian spirit towards supporting Rotary projects locally, regionally or globally.

Constitution of the Environment Fellowship of Rotarians

Statement of purpose of the fellowship

Just like Rotary Founder Paul Harris stressed, "Fellowship is wonderful; it illuminates life's pathway, spreads good cheer, and is worth high price" , the Environment Fellowship of Rotarians is a group of Rotarians, spouses of Rotarians, and Rotaractors who wish to preserve planet earth and unite to:
   - share a common interest in worthwhile recreational activities related to their environmental      interests,
   - further their vocational development through acquaintance with others of the same profession,
   - make new friends around the world,
   - explore new opportunities for service, and
   - have fun enhancing their experience in Rotary.
In true rotarian fellowship, they are regularly united through the best which modern communication technology and the internet offer. They meet on the internet, by e-mail, and very often face to face in person, locally, regionally, as well as every year at our Rotary International Conferences and Conventions.
Yes, the EFR members are always ready to contribute their knowledge and expertise, and support Rotary projects locally, regionally or globally.

The Environment Fellowship of Rotarians does thus:

- offer opportunities for Rotarians to make lasting friendships outside of one's own club, district    and country,
- serve as a strong incentive for attracting new members to Rotary and for retaining existing    members, and
- contributes a lot to the advancement of world understanding and peace in the best-possible    environment.
The Environment Fellowship of Rotarians is dedicated to preserving our planet earth as an opportunity for true rotarian fellowship. It is not an agency of-, nor controlled by Rotary International, as it does operate independently from it, while acting in harmony with its policy.
